Audition Schedule:
2:00 . . . . age 5-7
2:30 . . . . age 9 and older with less than 3 years dance experience
3:00 . . . . age 8-10 with more than 3 years dance experience
3:30 . . . . age 11-12 with more than 3 years dance experience
4:00 . . . . age 13 and older with more than 3 years dance experience
4:30 . . . . call-backs
All levels of dancers and tumblers needed. No experience necessary!

What should my child wear to the audition?
Standard audition attire includes black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, and hair in a bun for girls. If your child already has standard attire, this is preferred. If not, your child may wear the dance attire they normally wear to their class if they are currently enrolled in dance. If your child is not currently in a dance class, then just have your child wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing (such as sweatpants and a T-shirt) and white socks (please no bare feet or tennis shoes).
Is there any cost involved to be a part of this production?
Indiana Youth Ballet does not charge a fee for its costumes or rehearsals. However, to help offset our production costs, all cast members are required to participate in our fundraiser, which includes choosing one of three options: (1) purchasing a minimum of 2 boxes of Fannie May candy bars for resale, (2) participating in a catalog fundraiser and committing to a minimum total sale, or (3) a fundraiser buyout.
When are rehearsals?
Rehearsal times will depend on what part your child is selected for. Generally, rehearsals are held once each week, either on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. Rehearsals are mandatory. Sunday rehearsals will not be held before 12:00 noon to avoid any conflict with Sunday morning church services. There will be extra final rehearsals the week prior to performances. You will receive your child's part and rehearsal schedule at the mandatory parents meeting (date and time to be announced).
